ReinSaat Propagators' Meeting in St. Leonhard am Hornerwald

It could be called a tradition: for more than 25 years, ReinSaat has been collaborating with ambitious, skilled, and like-minded farmers and gardeners to multiply its diverse seed range. We are proud to now maintain fruitful partnerships with around 60 farms across Austria and Europe, all of which work and live in alignment with the guidelines of international agricultural associations (EU-Organic, BioAustria, Demeter).

The foundation of every propagation begins at ReinSaat's breeding facility in St. Leonhard am Hornerwald, a location whose harsh climate makes it an ideal site for developing robust, adaptable, and healthy varieties. On January 8, 2025, the annual Growers' Meeting was held—a warm gathering with the goal of discussing the planned cultivation strategy for the upcoming season. Through friendly dialogue, each variety to be propagated finds its ideal grower, taking into account experience, soil and climatic conditions, as well as the preferences and resources of the partner farms.

The Propagators' Meeting is not just a place for planning; it is also an expression of appreciation. Together, we make a fundamental contribution to preserving natural biodiversity and, ultimately, to ensuring food sovereignty for everyone.
