Diversity of organic vegetables from the Waldviertel

Since 1998, ReinSaat has been dedicated to offering a wide range of open-pollinated, biodynamic, and organically grown vegetable, herb, and flower seeds that meet the needs of both commercial horticulture and home gardening. We place particular importance on combining quality in appearance, taste, and aroma with reliable yield stability.

Our more than 60 propagation partners are located in various climate zones across Austria and neighboring countries. A key focus of our work is the breeding of regionally adapted varieties that promote plant health and facilitate the planning of harvest times.

The diversity and outstanding quality of our open-pollinated varieties are the result of years of responsible maintenance breeding. ReinSaat maintains continuous professional exchanges with breeders, similarly structured seed companies, and organizations.

Together with our propagation partners throughout Austria and European collaborators, we are committed to GMO-free and sustainable seed production. Our collaboration with Kultursaat e.V. underscores the close network of European organic seed producers. Since 2013, we have also been propagating vegetable varieties from Kultursaat.

This ensures that valuable genetic seed potential is preserved, and robust plants will continue to provide healthy and flavorful vegetable diversity for both commercial growers and home gardeners alike.
