Biocyclic vegan agriculture means purely plant-based organic farming. This form of cultivation excludes any commercial animal husbandry and slaughter, and no inputs of animal origin are used. Nutrient cycles are closed by predominantly plant-based fertiliser systems (including biocyclic humus soil).

BIODAR is the registered trademark of the association of Slovenian organic farmers. BIODAR is derived from a combination of BIOS = life and DAR = the gift, and consequently means "The Gift of Life."

All farming operations marked with the EU-Bio logo are inspected at regular intervals by a nationally accredited organic inspection body and are in accordance with the Council Regulation (EC) no 834/2007 in its applicable version organic certified.
