Seed Production

Before the seeds - wrapped in beautiful colourful packets or filled into large units - end up in your hands, they have already passed through numerous hands.

The journey starts at the field or in the greenhouse where the fruits or the ready seed stems are harvested - in most cases manually. After extracting the seeds, they are dried and consequently cleaned.

The chaff is sorted from the wheat - or the cabbage or lettuce from the husks - by means of air and vibrating tables.

The purified seeds are afterwards subjected to an exhaustive germination test.
